VIJAYALAKSHMI 7 MOHAN RAJ Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to pass an order staying the common judgement and decree dated 28/03/2017 made in OS.No.42/2012 by he learned principal District Judge, Kancheepuram Dist at Chengalpet (in CMP.No.13621/17) pending disposal of the above AS.No.462/17. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.R.MANICKAVEL, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.G.SURYA NARAYANAN, Advocate on behalf of the Respondents the court made the following order:- The prayer in this petition is as follows:

"To pass an order staying the common judgment and decree dated 28.03.2017, passed in O.S.No.42 of 2012 on the file of Principal District Judge, Kancheepuram District at Chengalpet."

The decree in O.S.No.42 of 2012 is one of dismissal of the suit itself. Therefore, there is no scope for granting stay of any further proceedings in that suit. Hence, this petition for stay is dismissed.
