ORDER

The petitioner seeks modification of the surety condition in para No.4 imposed on the petitioner, by this Court in Crl.O.P. No.84 of 2025 dated 07.01.2025.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has no blood relatives to offer as sureties; that in spite of granted bail by this Court on 07.01.2025, the petitioner is still languishing in jail, hence seeks modification of the surety condition imposed on the petitioner in para No.4 in Crl.O.P. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

Considering the submissions of both sides and the fact that, though the petitioner was granted bail by this Court on 07.01.2025, he is still in jail, this Court is inclined to modify the condition imposed on the petitioner in para No.4 in Crl.O.P. No.84 of 2025 dated 07.01.2025 as follows: "the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate at Egmore." 5.

The other conditions imposed on the petitioner vide order dated 07.01.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.84 of 2025 remain unaltered. Accordingly, this criminal miscellaneous petition is ordered.
