ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to produce the petitioner's wife viz., G.Angalaparameshwari, wife of Yuvaraj, aged about 20 years, from the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent, before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that his wife G.Angalaparameshwari, aged about 20 years, went missing since 25.03.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thiruchengodu Town Police Station Crime No.297 of 2021 for 'woman missing' was registered and during the course of enquiry, it came to light that Angalaparameshwari, on account of marital discord, has gone to the house of her sister Devaki in New Delhi in the following address: "C-11/2A, Saipura Govind Sakhi, CRPF Camp, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi". The police arranged video call on 24.04.2021 in the police station, in which, the petitioner spoke to Angalaparameshwari and she stated that on account of lock down in Delhi, she is not able to travel to Tamil Nadu and she further stated that she is not in the illegal custody of anyone.
