ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to promote the petitioner as Deputy Superintendent of Police [Armed Reserve] with effect from 04.12.2013 and fix the seniority of the petitioner on par with his immediate junior R.Arunachalam with all attendant benefits.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has drawn the attention of this Court to paragraph 8 of the counter affidavit wherein it is stated as follows: "8. It is respectfully submitted that the name of Thiru.N.Vinayagam has been included in the "C" List of Sub-Inspectors of Police (Armed Reserve) fit for promotion has Inspectors of Police (Armed Reserve) for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the year 2005 at Serial Number 22(e) by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu in his proceedings Rc.No.9583/NGB-I(1)/2015, dated 13.12.2015.
Consequently, the name of the petitioner herein has been included in the temporary panel of Inspectors of Police (Armed Reserve) fit for appointment by recruitment by transfer as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category 11) for the year 2012-2013 on par with his junior Thiru.A.Arunachalam in G.O.(Ms).No.191, Home (Pol.2) Department, dated 08.03.2018 and promoted as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category II) as prayed by him. As such, the request of the petitioner Thiru.Vinayagam has been complied with."
3. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that nothing survives for adjudication. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
