O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records in Crime No.599 of 2018 on the file of 1st Respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Chengam Police Station, Tiruvannamalai District and quash the same.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner had earlier filed Crl.O.P.No.5901 of 2022 for quashing the FIR. This Court on 15.03.2023 dismissed the quash petition. However, direction was given to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.599 of 2018 within a period of three months and file a final report before the trial Court. It is his further submission that, despite the specific direction to complete the investigation, till now, final report is not filed in this case.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that, investigation in this case completed and final report was also filed before the concerned Court. However, final report could not be taken on file for the reason that A.R copy was not produced. He further submitted that, A.R copy would be secured and produced before the Court.

4. In view of the submission made by the counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is not inclined to quash the FIR in Crime No.599 of 2018.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, this Court directs the 1st respondent to file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
