Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2020 and 22.05.2020 and issue patta in favour of the petitioner's property and consequently not to take any coercive steps with regard to the petitioner's property situated at No.6/41, Arundadiyar Street, Veerakkal Pudur, Karrupureddiyur Post, mettur Taluk, Salem District comprised in Survey Nos.114/1 and 120/3 to the petitioner herein.

2. By consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2020 and 22.05.2020 and issue patta in favour of the petitioner's property and consequently not to take any coercive https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

steps with regard to the petitioner's property situated at No.6/41, Arundadiyar Street, Veerakkal Pudur, Karrupureddiyur Post, mettur Taluk, Salem District comprised in Survey Nos.114/1 and 120/3 to the petitioner herein.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

5. The petitioner claims to be in possession of the subject matter property for long number of years and that she had applied for grant of patta before the third respondent and her request has not been considered so far. Therefore, the present writ petition is filed with the relief as stated supra. It is also stated that without granting patta, the respondents are trying to evict the petitioner from the subject matter premises.

6. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner except to dispose of the writ petition only by directing the third respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 22.04.2020 and 22.05.2020 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, the respondents shall maintain status quo as on today in respect of the subject matter property. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
