[ RESPONDENTS ] Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the Respondents to sanction the petitioner superannuation pension w.e.f.1.6.08 together with arrears and other consequential benefits with 12% interest and also to continue to pay the petitioner monthly pension every month as revised from time to time.

ORDER
The petitioner, after discharging him from Army Service, joined the Pattukkottai Azhagiri Transport Corporation as a Driver on 26.12.1995. The appointment was made through Employment Exchange. The petitioner, on attaining the age of superannuation, retired on 31.05.2008.
2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that he was not given pension on the ground that he has not completed 10 years of continuous service. According to the petitioner, in case his earlier service is taken along with the service rendered by him after his appointment in the Corporation, he is eligible for pension. The petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 02.05.2013 requesting the said authorities to sanction him pension and other terminal benefits. The representation is now pending on the file of the 2nd respondent.

3. The 2nd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 02.05.2013 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 02.05.2013 along with a copy of this order so as to enable the 2nd respondent to decide the matter as expeditiously as possible.
The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
