ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.,] The above petition has been filed by the petitioner, to cause production of his wife and children, Nirmala, aged 25 years and two daughters, Princy and Merlin, aged 6 years and 1 year respectively, who are said to be in the illegal custody of the 2nd respondent herein, before this Court and to set them at liberty. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his wife and children had gone missing in connection with which, a case in Cr.No.291/2014 has been registered by the 1st respondent police and the investigation is pending. The respondent Police have filed two status reports, detailing the steps that have been taken by the respondent police to trace out the alleged detenue and the children ; but in vain.

3. We find no reason to keep this Habeas Corpus Petition pending indefinitely. Therefore, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed with a direction to the 1st respondent police to proceed with the investigation diligently in Cr.No.291/2014 and keep the petitioner informed about the developments, if any, thereon.
