Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the Respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner dated 15.05.2015. For Petitioner :

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner association claims that the respondent has allotted shops to their members inside the old bus stand at Salem and periodically renewal of the lease and licence has also been done subject to the increase of the lease/licence amount at the rate of 15%. The petitioner would further state that the respondent has taken a decision to demolish the old bus stand and the petitioner association apprehends that in the event of such a decision being implemented, the shops which are in occupation of the members of the petitioner association are likely to be demolished and in that event their livelihood would be affected and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

hence, submitted a representation dated 15.05.2015 to the respondent for alternate accommodation and since, no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mrs.R.Hemalatha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Bhuvaneswari, learned standing counsel, who accepts notice for the respondent.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the representation dated 15.05.2015 submitted by the petitioner association, in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the authorised representative of the petitioner association and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner association.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
