Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order in Na.Ka.No.10/Thiruvengadu Ka.Ni/2018 passed by the 2nd respondent dated 21.04.2018 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to grant permission to conduct a public meeting, rally and cultural program on 02.05.2018 or on any other subsequent days in view of celebration of 127th Birth Anniversary of Dr.Ambedkar from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on 02.05.2018 at the venue of Thiruvali Village, Thiruvali post, Sirkali Taluk, Nagapattinam District or in other alternative future days. ORDER

It is seen that the request of the petitioner to conduct a public meeting on 24.04.2018 has been rejected by the 2nd respondent, challenging which, this writ petition has been filed.

2. Today, we are on 28.04.2018 and therefore, this writ petition has become infructuous. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to make a fresh application to the respondents, provided the petitioner does not seek permission for holding any https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

cultural programme. On such application being filed, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
