ORDER

The writ petition is filed for the following prayer: "for a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 1st and 2nd Respondents from disbursing death benefits as well as other monetary benefits of Petitioners's son S.Gunasekaran who was working as Assistant Registrar in 2nd Respondent's office to 3rd Respondent without settling one fourth share of death cum terminal benefits to the petitioner."

2.Though the writ petition has been filed for the above mentioned prayer, it is seen that the representations dated 24.11.2025 and 02.12.2025 have been made by the petitioner to the first respondent and to the University where the petitioner's deceased son was employed. In the said representations, the petitioner would submit that the letter in which the left thump impression of the petitioner was illegally obtained by her daughter-in-law/third respondent has been cancelled by her and that she is entitled to receive 1/4th share of the terminal benefits due to her late son S.Gunasekaran. 3.Considered the rival submissions and perused the materials available on record.

4.In view of the facts and circumstances, the first respondent is now directed to dispose of the representations dated 24.11.2025 and 02.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing both the petitioner as well as the third respondent, within a period of one (1) month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to state that till the disposal of the representations, the share claimed by the petitioner shall not be disbursed. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
