ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb from the threats posed by the third to fifth respondents herein.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had previously lodged a complaint against the third to fifth respondents, which was registered under CSR No. 190 of 2024. After an enquiry and following undertakings given by the third to fifth respondents, the complaint was closed. However, the petitioner contends that the third to fifth respondents have continued to threaten the petitioner with dire consequences. Consequently, a second complaint was lodged by the petitioner on 13.10.2024, which is presently pending with the second respondent.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second 2/4

respondent is directed to issue notice to the third to fifth respondents herein, conduct an enquiry, and dispose of the complaint within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
