This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the FIR in Cr.No.25/12 pending on the file of the respondent Inspector of Police Central Crime Branch - Team ii, EDF - iii, O/o. Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai, Veperi, Chennai. Subsequently, quash the same.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

3. On a complaint lodged by Mrs.Leema Auxilia, defacto complainant, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.25 of 2012 on 21.02.2012 under Sections 417, 420 and 506(ii) I.P.C against one Devika (A1) and her son, M.Muthuraman (A2). When M.Muthuraman (A2) approached this Court in Crl.OP.No.21076 of 2012 for Anticipatory Bail, this Court referred the parties to the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, attached to this Court for mediation.
4. Today, Mrs.Leema Auxilia, defacto complaint and Mr.M.Muthuraman (A2) are present before this Court. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the defacto complainant has no objection in quashing the entire FIR.
5. It is seen that the parties appeared before the Mediators and they have arrived at an amicable settlement as could be seen from the confirmation order passed by this Court on 18.12.2014 in Crl.O.P.No.21076 of 2012. In view of the above, the entire FIR in Crime No.25/2012 on the file of Central Crime Branch, Chennai, is quashed as against both the accused.
