ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2023 and issue patta to the petitioner in respect of property admeasuring 5 cents comprised in Sy. No. 608/1 situated at Door No. 23-2/78 New Street, Puthur Village, Sirkali Taluk, Mayiladuthurai District.

The case of the petitioner is that subject property has been bequeathed in favour of the mother of the petitioner and the petitioner and his family members are continuously in possession of the property and paying statutory taxes due to the Government. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the petitioner has given a detailed representation to the respondents to grant patta in the name of the petitioner, the same has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that as per the G.O.Ms.No.318 of 2019 only the land less persons can be allotted patta and the petitioner is having other properties.

4. Considering the above submissions, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner 18.12.2023 and pass appropriate Orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
