ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking interest for the belated payment of surrender of leave salary and gratuity.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the respondents also.

3. The respondents may examine the service records of the petitioner and examine whether the aforesaid amounts had been paid with delay and if it had been paid with delay, pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. This exercise must be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
