Prayer in both W.Ps.: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider petitioner representations dated 8.1.2015 and 25.2.2015 release the amount as per the TBGP 2012-2013 project.

C O M M O N O R D E R By consent, the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal and as the facts pleaded and the submissions made are one and the same, they are disposed of by a common order.
2. The petitioners claim that they are having agricultural lands in Kottakkarai, Potiyam, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District and in order to plant Hill Neem Trees (Malai Vembu) in their lands in terms of TBGP 2012-2013 project, had purchased 2500 plants at the rate of Rs.15/- each from a private nursery situated at Vegakollai Village, Panruti Taluk and transported the same to their village and they have also planted the saplings. It was also inspected by the jurisdiction Forest Range Officer and on full satisfaction, the said official had directed the petitioners to submit applications along with copy of Chitta, Adangal and photograph to claim transport, planting fee and the incentive and accordingly the petitioners have also submitted the same.
However, the petitioners have not been favoured with any kind of response and therefore, have submitted individual representations dated 08.01.2015, followed by another representation dated 25.02.2015 to the respondents and though, their representations were received and acknowledged, no orders have been passed so far and hence, came forward to file these writ petitions.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, Mr.M.K.Subramanian, learned Special Government Pleader (Forest), who accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1, 3 to 5 and Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the representations, directs the 4th respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 08.01.2015 and 25.02.2015, in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioners.
