O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 02.08.2024 pending on the file of the 1st respondent herein within a time frame as fixed by this Court."

2. The petitioner was working as an Assistant Quality Inspector under the respondent Corporation. The petitioner would submit that a show cause notice dated 26.05.2023 was issued alleging that the petitioner procured substandard quality Toor Dal causing a loss of Rs.2,08,872/- to the Corporation. The petitioner submitted his explanation on 10.06.2023. Thereafter, a charge memo dated 21.07.2023, was issued for which the petitioner submitted a detailed explanation on 05.09.2023, denying the allegations. 2/6

3. Thereafter, an Enquiry Officer was appointed on 25.09.2023 and an enquiry was conducted. The Enquiry Officer submitted his report on 05.02.2024. The petitioner submitted his further representation on 25.04.2024 pointing out procedural irregularities and stating that the alleged loss had already been recovered. However, the 2nd respondent imposed the punishment of stoppage of increment for six months without cumulative effect by order dated 22.05.2024.

4. Aggrieved by the said order, the petitioner preferred a statutory appeal before the 1st respondent on 02.08.2024, which was received by the 1st respondent on 12.08.2024. The petitioner has also submitted an additional grounds on 08.12.2025. However, the appeal remains pending. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court for the aforesaid relief.

5. Considering the fact that the statutory appeal has been pending since 12.08.2024, a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 02.08.2024 within a period of 1 month from the 3/6

date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
