Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to release the payment due to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.3,74,532/- in respect of Agreement No.16/TWAD/2018-19 dated 06.09.2018 together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to release the payment due to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.3,74,532/- in respect of Agreement No.16/TWAD/2018-19 dated 06.09.2018 together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was awarded with the work of out sourcing of operation and maintenance of CWSS to 127 habitations in Kulithalai and Thogamalai Unions, Karur District for the period from 01.05.2018 to 31.03.2019. In pursuance of awarding the contract, the petitioner had paid EMD and it was stipulated that the work should be completed within a period of 11 months. Even though the work period was from 01.05.2018 to 31.03.2019 as per the conditions, the work period was further extended from 31.03.2019 to 30.06.2019 and the petitioner was not paid the estimated amount. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Considering the above, the first respondent is directed to release the amount withheld together with interest at the rate of 6% per
annum, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
