The Habeas Corpus petition is instituted by the mother for causing production of her twenty year old son, who is said to have been missing from 26th April 2017, from her home. 2.Pursuant to the notice taken by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor in this case, the Police at Kodungaiyur Police Station have done a good job in tracing the alleged detenue in Puducherry and brought him to the Court today (15.06.2017) and produced him before us.

3.The petitioner was also present. Her husband was also present. We have interacted with all the three of them. The alleged detenue by name Om Prasanth informed that he had completed B.Com., Course and in fact he has also been selected for Campus Placement and he is awaiting his result. However, in the meantime, he informed us that in view of difference of opinion in the family, he went out on his own and started working in a Soap Manufacturing Unit at Puducherry, earning daily wages and sustaining on that.

4.In the given circumstances, we are of the opinion that no further orders are needed to be passed in this Petition, as the alleged detenue has left for Puducherry entirely on his own volition, the Habeas Corpus Petition, does not survive upon his production. Since he is a major, we are setting him at liberty. We also hope and trust that he will conduct himself properly and become a responsible citizen at least from now on.

Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus petition is disposed of. No costs.
