Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose representation dated 27.12.2022 in accordance with law and direct the respondents to clean the mud and maintain the water channels in Survey Nos.1 to 503, Chetput Taluk, Narasingakpuram Village, Thiruvannamalai District.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.M.Natarajan, petitioner appearing in person and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, assisted by Mr.K.Karthik Jagannath, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. Learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that survey would be conducted on the subject property and depending upon the survey report, further action would be taken.

3. In view of the said statement, the writ petition is disposed of.

4. As far as desilting is concerned, the respondent authorities shall take proper steps so that free flow of water in the channel is not obstructed.

5. There will be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.16767 of 2023 is closed.
