The petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give adequate Police Protection to the petitioner for enter into the petitioner's land situated in S.Nos.1020/18A, 742/2, 690/9, 691/4B, 691/1B, Punjaikalamangalam B-Village, Modakurichi Taluk, Erode District and S.No.119/4, Nanjaikalamangalam Village, Modakurichi Taluk, Erode District.

2. The petitioner seeks police protection for entering into the petitioner's land situated in S.Nos.1020/18A, 742/2, 690/9, 691/4B, 691/1B, Punjaikalamangalam B-Village, Modakurichi Taluk, Erode District and S.No.119/4, Nanjaikalamangalam Village, Modakurichi Taluk, Erode District. Now, almost two years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
