Heard Mr. T.Nixon, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. U.M.Ravichandran, learned Special Government Pleader who takes notice for the first to fourth respondents and Mr. M.Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the fifth respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.
2. The case of the writ petitioner is that the writ petitioner had incurred expenses in the medical treatment that has been rejected on the ground that the petitioner did not undergo treatment in an approved hospital. The petitioner has preferred a statutory appeal dated 15.06.2021 and the same is pending till date. 2/4
3. When the matter came up for admission today, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the appeal would be considered and disposed of within such reasonable time as may be directed by this Court.
4. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of on the following terms: (i) the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal of the petitioner filed on 15.06.2021 within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
No costs.
