COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed to direct the first respondent to remove the name of the petitioners from History Sheet No.3 of 2023 on the file of Inspector of Police, Melpadi Police Station by considering their representation dated 14.03.2023.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner in both the writ petitions submits that, the petitioners were branded as history sheeter and for removal of the same, the petitioners have made a representation to the respondents Police on 14.03.2023, however the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioners have filed these Writ Petitions.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner in both the writ petitions would submit that, it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 14.03.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the Page No.2 of 4

respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner in both the writ petitions, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 14.03.2023 in terms of 747 and 748 of Police Standing Orders and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
