This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to act upon the online application submitted by the petitioner on 01.04.2024, wherein the petitioner is seeking for transfer of patta in his name.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.
3.The petitioner is tracing his right under a registered sale deed dated 15.12.1966, executed in favour of the petitioner's father and the petitioner is also placing reliance upon patta No.435 granted in the name of his father. Pursuant to the demise of his father, the petitioner claims to have become the owner of the property and accordingly, he submitted an online application before the 2nd respondent on 01.04.2024 seeking for transfer of patta. Since the same was not acted upon, a representation was made on 12.02.2025 and the same also did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to act upon the online application submitted by the petitioner on 01.04.2024 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
