Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to issue patta records to the petitioner in respect of his occupied lands of 3 cents of lands comprised in S.No.740/2 at Ambedkar Street, 170, Ullavur Village, Kancheepuram District, based on the various Government Orders issued and also based on the representations of the petitioner made to the revenue officials concerned, within a time as may be fixed by this Court. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims that he is a houseless/landless poor and is a resident of Ullavur Village, Kancheepuram District and he is in possession and enjoyment of the lands comprised in S.No.740/2 at Ambedkar Street, 170, Ullavur Village, for the past 19 years and in terms of G.O.Ms.Nos.854, 34 and 43 issued by the Revenue Department of Government of Tamil Nadu dated 30.12.2006, 23.01.2008 and 29.01.2010 respectively, he is entitled to a house https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

site patta and in this regard, he has submitted a representation dated 05.08.2011 to the second respondent and since he has not been favoured with any kind of response, he came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Mr.P.Gajendra Babu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is not in possession of any patta land or private land except the aforesaid lands and hence prays for appropriate orders.

4. The Court heard the submissions of Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5. This Court, taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits projected by the petitioner, permits that petitioner to submit one more representation to the third respondent by enclosing a copy of this order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the third respondent, on receipt of the same, is directed to consider the same and pass orders, in accordance with law within a further period of eight weeks thereafter, after putting on notice to the concerned persons, and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
