ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in FIR No.313 of 2016 on the file of the 1st respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

3. On the complaint lodged by A.Kumar, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.313 of 2016 on 23.05.2016 for the

offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 324, 506 (ii) IPC against Senthilraja, for quashing which Senthilraja is before this Court on the ground that the parties have arrived at a compromise.

3. Kumar, the de facto complainant, himself has given a notarized letter to the respondent Police on 22.06.2016 agreeing to withdraw the complaint in Crime No.313 of 2016.

4. On a reading of the FIR in Crime No.313 of 2016, it is seen that Kumar and Andrew Raja had sustained injuries. Therefore, this Court directed the respondent Police to produce Andrew Raja before this Court today.

5. Today, Mr.P.Chinnasamy, Sub Inspector of Police, D3, Sooramangalam Police Station, Salem City is present. The respondentPolice has produced Andrew Raja, who stated that the matter has been amicably settled and has no objection in the FIR being quashed.

7. In view of the above, this petition is allowed and the FIR in Crime No.313 of 2016 is hereby quashed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is quashed.
