Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2015 for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner herein.

By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims that he belongs to "Kuruvan Community" which is a Hindu Scheduled Caste Community. The petitioner states that his father had purchased a property to an extent of 6.80 acres comprised in Survey No.170 at Thirupathur as well as in Survey No.59 at Pallipattu Village by means of registered Sale Deed No.4252/1959 and his father was in possession and enjoyment of the same and he was cultivating the lands for the past 55 years and he also dug a Well for irrigation purpose. The petitioner would further state that his father died during 1972 leaving behind the petitioner as sole legal heir. the said land. The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 20.04.2015 praying for issuance of transfer of Patta and since he has not been favoured with any any kind of response, he came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.N.Umapathy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. This Court, without going into the merits projected by the petitioner, directs the third respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 20.04.2015 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after putting on notice to the persons concerned, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
