The petitioner who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) 1/4

r/w. 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.79 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner on 28.03.2020, the petitioner was in possession of white plastic bag which contains whiskey sachet and quarter brandy bottles totally 114 litres of Indian made foreign liquor. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there are previous cases against the petitioner and this Court had dismissed his applications on two occasions. Hence, he opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the previous antecedents of the petitioner, this does not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
