Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners herein, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4 (1)(aaa), 4(1-A) of TNP Act, in Crime No.294 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners.

3. The petitioners herein are arrayed as accused in illegal transport of 2,400 bottles of IMFL from Puducherry to Tamil Nadu. The Police has arrested the two persons, who were accompanied the contraband transported in a Bolero vehicle. The said Bolero vehicle belongs the 1st petitioner and the 2nd petitioner is the staff under the 1st petitioner, who has procured the contraband from Puducherry and loaded it in the Bolero vehicle for his illicit transport.

4. In the said circumstances, since these two petitioners are absconding and the quantity of the contraband is very high, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as devoid of merits.
