.. Respondent Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 07.05.2015 preferred by the petitioner before the respondent herein within a time frame specified by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner, who worked as Assistant (Accounts) in the Executive Engineer's Office, Electricity Distribution Circle/Metro/ Ondipudur Branch, Coimbatore, was promoted as Accounts Supervisor and posted to Coimbatore South Circle. According to the petitioner, when the post of Accounts Supervisor at Electricity Distribution Circle/Metro/Ondipudur Branch, Coimbatore is vacant, the petitioner should have been retained in the same circle, instead of posting him to Coimbatore South Circle.

In view of the guidelines issued by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in Memo No.114124/G.11/G.111/2001-2 dated 03.01.2002, preference for the employees, who are already working in a particular circle, shall be given. According to the petitioner, as per the aforesaid guidelines, the senior person shall be retained in the same circle and the junior person shall be posted to other place. But, in the instant case, junior to the petitioner is retained in the Electricity Distribution Circle/Metro/Ondipudur Branch, Coimbatore, whereas the petitioner was posted to Coimbatore South Circle. Therefore, he preferred an appeal on 07.05.2015 before the respondent and the same is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to dispose of the appeal.

The prayer sought for in the writ petition is to dispose of the appeal dated 07.05.2015. In view of the narrow prayer made, the respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal dated 07.05.2015 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
