Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the Appeal dated 05.07.2018, within the stipulated period prescribed by this Court.

O R D E R

Heard Mr.G.Thangavel, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannan Kumar, the learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. On consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal.

2. The prayer of the petitioner, in this Writ Petition is seeking a direction for disposal of the Appeal made to the first respondent to step-up his pay with that of his junior mentioned in the said Appeal Memo, inasmuch as, the same was filed on 05.07.2018.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that since the Appeal is pending, the first respondent be directed to take a decision on the same as expeditiously as possible but in a time bound manner.

The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that the first respondent shall have no objection to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consider the Appeal but in accordance with law within the period to be stipulated by this Court.

Considering the aforesaid facts and the submissions made, this Writ Petition stands disposed of at the stage of admission with a direction to the first respondent to take a decision on the Appeal of the petitioner filed to step up his pay with that of his junior in accordance law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on the merit of such Appeal of the petitioner, in any manner. No costs.
