ORDER
The petitioner school has submitted an application to the respondent in the year 2019 to upgrade the school with Higher Secondary Classes viz., 11th and 12th Standards and subsequently, the said application was returned to comply with certain defects. The petitioner school had rectified the defects pointed out and resubmitted the application to the respondent. The Chief Educational Officer, Tirupattur District, on perusal of the application as well as relevant documents, sent a recommendation dated 10.12.2020 to the respondent for upgradation of the petitioner school and the same is pending with the respondent for a quite long time without passing any orders and therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

Mr.Mr.Gokul Krishnan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the application for upgradation submitted by the petitioner school will be considered by the respondent, based on the proposal forwarded by the Chief Educational Officer, Tiruppattur and orders will be passed at the earliest.
3. In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondent and considering the limit scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits, directs the respondent to consider the application for upgradation submitted by the petitioner school, by taking into account the proposal forwarded by the Chief Educational Officer, Tirupattur dated 10.12.2020 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. This Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
