Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent in relation to the order in proceedings G.O.(D) No.1126 dated 23.09.2019 passed by the first respondent and quash the same and further, issue a direction directing the respondents to release my son, R.Muthuraman, who is now lodged at Central Prison-I, Puzhal, forthwith form the prison in accordance with the G.O.(Ms) No.64, Home (Prison IV) Department, dated 01.02.2018 and set him at liberty. [Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings of the first respondent in G.O.(D) No.1126 dated 23.09.2019 and further, issue a direction to the respondents to release the petitioner's son, R.Muthuraman, who is now lodged at Central Prison-I, Puzhal, forthwith form the prison in accordance with G.O.(Ms) No.64, Home (Prison IV) Department, dated 01.02.2018 and set him at liberty.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the convict prisoner Muthu @ Muthuraman S/o.Ramalingam [CT No.1434] has now been released from custody in G.O.(Ms) No.637, Home (Prison-IV) Department dated 24.09.2022.
