This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the 1st respondent to conclude the enquiry bearing reference no. 7575/N2/1/2025 dated 23.02.2026 and further to publish the Permanent Seniority in the Civil Nursing List."
2. The petitioners are nurses registered with the Nursing Council and they got engaged on a contract basis in the Government run RCH scheme as per GO.No.396 dated 23.08.1999 from the year 2000 to 2001. As per G.O.No.230 dated 04.09.2001, they were retained and as per G.O.No.293 dated 13.11.2006, they were accorded staff nurse by changing to time scale of pay.
3. The case of the petitioners is that as per Rule 35 of the Tamilnadu Subordinate Service Rules, seniority at the time of entry into service to be maintained. It is their case that CNL list has not been finalized and published. Therefore, the petitioners made a representation in this regard. However, there was no progress on the same. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court 3/6
4. It is informed by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners were called for an enquiry on 25.02.2026 at 04:00 PM along with relevant documents. However, the authority who was to conduct an enquiry was not present and the documents were received at the office. Thereafter, no communication has been received from the respondent.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners, a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to give another date for an enquiry, hear the petitioners and pass orders, within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
