Respondents (2nd respondent is impleaded as per the order of this Court dated 25.10.2018 made in Crl.M.P.No.8837/2018 in Crl.O.P.No.16591/2018) Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to direct the respondent police to give protection to the petitioner as well as the lands S.No.24/1B and 24/1C of Anumepally Village, Zuzuvadi Taraf, Hosur Taluk owned by Mr.Mathew and his wife and now under the petitioner's care pending filing of final report in the above Crime No.144/2018 on the file of the respondent.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, on instructions, the learned Government Advocate [Cr. Side] submitted that the land measuring an extent of 1.18 acres in Anumapally Village, Hosur, Krishnagiri District belongs to one Mathew Thomas and Mary Kutty Thomas and that they have given Power of Attorney to S.R.Sendil Velan/petitioner herein to develop the land. 2.While so, one V.S.Ravi/2nd respondent herein who has nothing to do with the land attempted to encroach the land twice and two First Information Reports have been registered against https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

him in Crime Nos.215 of 2018 and 144 of 2018 for the offences under Sections 294 (b), 447 and 323 IPC and the another under Sections 294 (b), 447 and 506 (i) IPC respectively and that the said V.S.Ravi is absconding.

3.In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to give sufficient police protection to the petitioner and the said land, so that there is no encroachment or trespass by the said V.S.Ravi and his henchmen.

With the above direction, this petition is ordered accordingly.
