O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 16.03.2016 in accordance with law.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed as an Engineer in Om Lakshmi Machine Works on 26.06.1987 and in the course of employment, he suffered an injury, which resulted in the amputation of all fingers in the left hand. On 16.03.2016, the petitioner applied for Learners Driving License under Rule 10 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989. Since the petitioner's application has not yet been considered by the respondent, the petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in the year 1993, the petitioner obtained Two Wheeler Driving License for Motorcycle without gear. The learned counsel further submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass orders in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Mr.Zakir Hussain, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application on merits and in accordance with law within a stipulated time. 4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 16.03.2016 for Learners Driving License for Light Motor Vehicle and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
