O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to provide necessary protection to the life and limb of the petitioner for her lifetime by considering her representation dated 26.10.2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was constructing a house with financial assistance extended under the Kalaignarin Kanavu Illam Scheme. The revenue authorities and the panchayat officials had inspected the spot, identified the place, verified the records and thereafter approved the scheme. When the petitioner was constructing the house, the petitioner's brother, Tirupathi @ Pazhini, obstructed the construction. On the other hand, with an ulterior motive, he had given a complaint to the 3rd respondent. The petitioner appeared before the 3rd respondent and gave her explanation. However, she still has an apprehension that her brother Tirupathi @ Pazhini, may further obstruct the construction and also attack her.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that on the complaint of Tirupathi @ Pazhini, the brother of the petitioner, both the petitioner and the counter complainant were called for enquiry. During the enquiry, it was found that the petitioner is constructing a house under the Kalaignarin Kanavu Illam Scheme and the revenue authorities also confirmed the same. He further submitted that the petitioner's brother, Tirupathi @ Pazhini, had given an undertaking that he will not obstruct the construction of the house by the petitioner and will also not cause any damage or threat to the petitioner.
