Writ Petition No.54 of 2001 : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ f Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records on the file of the third respondent bearing No.6779:99:VG dated 21.12.1999 read with the order dated 29.02.2000 passed by the second respondent read with the order dated 29.07.2000 passed by the first respondent, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner in service with effect from 21.12.2000 with backwages, continuity of service and all other attendant benefits.

J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by the Honourable The Chief Justice) Learned counsel appearing for the employee in both appeals states that the he passed away on 27.03.2012 and his wife predeceased him. His mother aged 80 years only survives.

2. In view thereof, it is agreed that the appeals have become infructuous, but as per the terms of employment, any benefits that may be admissible to the mother, would be accordingly paid within three months from today.

3. The writ appeals are closed as infructuous, leaving the parties to bear their own costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
