Respondents in all WP's Common Prayer:- Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the First to Third Respondents to implement the order of the Fourth Respondent made in E/1064/06 dated 21.06.2010 under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981, and thereby direct the First to Third Respondents to absorb the Petitioner in the First Respondent Corporation as permanent employee.

The Petitioners, who have obtained an Order No. Na. Ka. E/1064/06 dated 21.06.2010 from the Fourth Respondent granting the benefit for permanent status to them in the Tiruvannamalai Electricity Distribution Circle of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (hereinafter referred to as 'TNEB' for short and now renamed as 'TANGEDCO') under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act' for short), seek directions to the First to Third Respondents to implement the same in these Writ Petitions.

It has been brought to notice that the Respondents have filed another Writ Petition in W.P. No. 2341 of 2014 in which an order dated 14.10.2019 has been passed quashing the Order No. Na. Ka. E/1064/06 dated 21.06.2010, which the Petitioners want to implement in these Writ Petitions. In view of the subsequent events after the filing of these Writ Petitions, the claim made by the Petitioners does not survive for consideration. In fine, these Writ Petitions are dismissed. No costs.
