ORDER
The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 20 of the Arms Act, 1959 Crime Number not known of 2026, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 19.02.2026 at about 11.00 p.m., while the petitioner along with his friend Viji was travelling in a car owned by the petitioner, the respondent police intercepted them within the limits of Perumbakkam Police Station and seized 2 big knives from their possession.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that there is no case pending against the petitioner.
