ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the detenue Kavi Priya d/o.Rajendran,

aged 18 years, before this Court and handover custody to the petitioner.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Kavi Priya, aged about 18 years, went missing from 11.04.2022 and that she is in the illegal custody of the third respondent.

3. Today, Ms.R.Vidya [WPC 4249], H8 Thiruvottiyur Police Station, is present.

4. On instructions, Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thiruvottiyur P.S. Crime No.347 of 2022 was registered on 11.04.2022 for "woman missing" and during the course of investigation, it came to light that Kavi Priya was in love with the third respondent and has eloped with him.

5. Today, the petitioner and his wife are present. Kavi Priya is present along with the third respondent.

6. When enquired by us, Kavi Priya stated that her date of birth is 07.01.2004 and that since she was in love with the third respondent, she has gone with him. She further stated that she is not in the illegal detention of the third respondent. In view of the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
