ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Special Court for SC/ST Act at Thiruvannamalai District (Principal District and Sessions Court, Thiruvannamalai) to consider the petitioners' bail application on the same day of their surrender in Crime No.37 of 2026 pending on the file of the first respondent.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. 3.

It is seen from the records that the petitioners are not the named accused in Crime No.37 of 2026. The de facto complainant / second respondent married the sister of one Padmanabhan, who is A1 in this case. The said Pamanabhan along with about 15 members of his relatives, went to question the de facto complainant and verify the well-being of his sister. It is now projected that the petitioner also accompanied the said Padmanabhan. 4.

In view of the above factual position, there shall be a direction to the Special Court for SC/ST Act at Thiruvannamalai District (Principal District and Sessions Court, Thiruvannamalai), to consider the petitioners' bail application(s), preferably on the same day of their surrender, in connection with

Crime No.37 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989. The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.
