Mr.Stalin Abimanyu, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.

2.According to the petitioner, her husband was the sole bread winner of her family and due to financial constraints, she applied for grant under the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for her daughter by name, Rukumani, through online application bearing no.2017/N14/13557

dated 30.01.2017 to the first respondent. As per the said scheme, her daughter was eligible to receive Rs.50,000/- + 8 grams gold (1 sovereign) 22 carat gold coin for making Thirumangalaym. Her daughter's marriage took place on 03.02.2017. However, the said application was not considered by the first respondent, till date. The petitioner through RTI application, came to know that the first respondent has forwarded the said application to the third respondent for the purpose of approval. Even then, there was no response with regard to the claim of the petitioner. Therefore, she has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the said application and provide grant under the said Scheme, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

3.Heard both sides and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4.Considering the limited prayer made herein and also in view of the fact that the application of the petitioner is pending for the past 4 years without any action, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's online application dated 30.01.2017 bearing no.2017/N14/13557 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
