By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioners claims that he is in possession of an agricultural land measuring to a total extent of 2.00 Acres comprised in S.No.62/2 at Vaniyamallee Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Tiruvallulr District. He has also been paying statutory levy to the said land. It is claimed by the petitioner that Government of Tamil Nadu has introduced a scheme of issuing free patta to landless poor farmers during the year 2006 and though he is eligible for free patta, he has not so far been conferred with such benefit and in this regard, he has also submitted a representation to the 1st respondent and the 1st respondent , in turn, directed the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action and inform the decision taken and in spite of it, no order has been passed by the 2nd respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.
3. Heard Mr.P.Gajendra Babu, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, the learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents.
4. This court, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.06.2011 by taking into consideration of the letter of the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvallur, in his letter in Na.Ka.B2/15217/2011 dated 20.07.2011as expeditiously as possible, but, not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
