O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for police protection from the hands of the parents of the petitioner by considering the representation of the petitioner herein dated 21.05.2020.

2. Heard Mr.M.Sathishkumar learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent police.

3. It is seen from the petition that the petitioner fell in love with the one Amjath Khan. Thereafter, she converted into Islam religion and also changed her name as Noor Taj and their marriage was organized as per Muslim rites and customs at Alumalu Rangapuram Masjid on 15.05.2020. Thereafter, the parents of the petitioner threatened the petitioner and her husband with their life and also threatened them honour killing. Therefore, the petitioner sought for police protection on the complaint dated 21.05.2020.

4. It is also seen that admittedly the petitioner is a major and fell in love with one Amjath Khan. Though, the petitioner belonging to other religion, now she has converted into Islam religion and got married with him.

5. Therefore, considering the above facts and circumstances, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband from the hands of her parents by considering the representation of the petitioner herein dated 21.05.2020 forthwith.
