O R D E R

[Order of the Court is made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The present writ petition challenges the order dated September 30, 2019, passed by the 2nd respondent and seeks a direction to the respondents to release the petitioner's husband under the General Amnesty Scheme, as per G.O. (MS).No. 64, Home (Prison-IV) Department, dated February 1, 2018.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the petitioner's application for premature release of the convict prisoner was considered, and the Government passed an order in G.O.(MS).No.187, Home (Prison-IV) Department, dated March

7, 2024. Pursuant to this order, the prisoner was released prematurely under the scheme.

3. In view of this development, no further adjudication is required. Consequently, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
