ORDER
This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order dated 12.09.2023 passed by the 1st respondent, whereby the petitioner's claim for payment of compensation in respect of the properties more fully described in the prayer to the writ petition, which were acquired by the respondents, was rejected.

At the relevant time, the Second Appeal viz., S.A.No.747 of 2014 is pending on the file of this Court pertaining to the title of the properties more fully described in the prayer to the writ petition. 3.
The petitioner now relies upon a subsequent development arising
after the passing of the impugned order dated 12.09.2023 by the 1st respondent. The Second Appeal in SA No.747 of 2014 filed by the petitioner's rival claimant A.Duraisamy, has now been dismissed by this Court vide judgement dated 15.12.2025. In view of the dismissal of the said second appeal, the petitioner claims entitlement for compensation for the acquired lands more fully described in the prayer to the writ petition. 4.
Being a subsequent development, necessarily, the matter has to be remanded back to the 1st respondent for fresh consideration, on merits and in accordance with law, in the light of the judgement rendered by this Court in SA.No.747 of 2014, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.
Accordingly, the impugned order dated 12.09.2023 passed by the 1st respondent is hereby quashed and the matter is remanded back to the file of the 1st respondent for fresh consideration, on merits and in accordance with law. The 1st respondent shall pass a final order on the petitioner's claim for payment of compensation for the acquired lands more fully described in the prayer to the writ petition, after giving due consideration to the judgement dated SA No.747 of 2014 where the petitioner is the 7th respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
