The present writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the applications of the petitioners dated 30.03.2017 filed under Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status) Act, 1981.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that they were appointed as Junior Assistant, Junior Clerk and Jewel Appraiser respectively in the second respondent society on 02.01.2013, 24.06.2013 and 24.06.2013 respectively. Consolidated pay was fixed by the order dated 22.01.2015. It is the claim of the petitioners that each of them have completed more than 480 days https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

without any break continuously and that they have not been conferred with permanent status, to which they are entitled to under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status) Act, 1981. So claiming, the petitioners have filed applications before the first respondent, to which there is no answer and the petitioners have filed the present writ petition seeking for a direction to the first respondent to consider their representation dated 30.03.2017.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have completed the required number of days and that their representation has not received any reponse from the first respondent.

4. Having regard to the limited prayer, without notice to the other side, this Court is of the opinion that if a direction is given, no prejudice would be caused to the respondent.

5. Under the circumstances, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
