Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2021 and release the petitioner's father namely, Nagarajan, son of Kaliyaperumal, aged 49 years, Convict Prisoner, Central Prison1, Puzhal, Chennai-66, on ordinary leave for 10 days. O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] It is seen that the wedding of the detenu's son has been fixed on 25.04.2021, therefore, he is seeking 10 days ordinary leave.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the detenu is not eligible for ordinary leave, as his case does not satisfy the extant rules.

3. In such view of the matter, the authorities may consider grant of emergency leave to the detenu either with or without escort, as the authorities may deem it just and proper, so that the detenu is able to attend his son's wedding on 25.04.2021.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
