Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the RTI appeal dated 31.12.2021 preferred by the petitioner.

Mr.C.Vigneswaran, learned counsel accepts notice for R1 and Mr.TNC Kaushik, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for R2. R1, who is the contesting respondent. Both learned counsel are armed with instructions to enable a final disposal of the matter even at the stage of admission.
2. The prayer of the petitioner is for a mandamus directing R1 to dispose appeal filed by him under the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 on 31.12.2021. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. On instructions, learned counsel for R1 states that as on date, appeals of the year 2019-20 stand disposed and the authority has now commenced listing and adjudication of appeals of the year 2021. Learned counsel for the respondents assure the Court that the matter will be taken up in due course of time, as per priority.
4. No reason or justification is made out before me warranting early hearing of the matter on expedited priority. In such circumstances, I am reluctant to interfere with the roaster of the appellate authority.
5. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to move R1 seeking urgent and expeditious hearing of appeal citing sufficient justification. Such request for early hearing of the appeal petition, if and when filed, shall be considered by R1 and a decision taken, in accordance with law.
